Savvy Boss Lady was formed to empower women business owners to turn their passion projects into profitable businesses. Savvy Boss Lady is the brain child of sisters Heather Christison and Jennifer S. Goldsmith. While working on our own independent businesses, “the Sisters” attended many business development courses and noticed a common theme: very few were giving women in business information about “hard skills”…you know, the nuts and bolts of how to run a business. We were learning a lot about sales and marketing, customer relationships and mindset, but no one was talking about the ins and outs of the BUSINESS itself. That’s where Savvy Boss Lady was born!
Heather has over 20 years of experience working in accounting and finance. She has worked for all sizes of entrepreneurs from a solo-preneur start up to a $35 million dollar a year contractor. Her expertise gained working for the first CMA firm in the country provided a wealth of exposure to many different industries. With clients spanning the medical/dental field, construction, business/life coaching, retail/wholesale sales she is well versed in the diverse needs of a variety of industries.
She helps entrepreneurs to understand what the numbers mean in their business and how to use that knowledge to grow. Using plain English and examples she helps her clients with the tools they need to thrive in their business.
Jennifer is an attorney and entrepreneur practicing in the greater Bay Area. Her specialties include Business Entity Formation, Contract Review and Negotiations, and personal wealth management through the use of Wills, Trusts, and other Estate Plans. She works closely with small business owners to insure that their assets are protected both at work and at home!
Along with her Juris Doctorate, Jennifer also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences and Sociology. Over the last 20 years,Jennifer has used her skills and knowledge of human behavior to become an expert in the art of negotiation. Ms. Goldsmith now uses her years of experience to empower other women. Her dedication and passion for empowering women is undeniable.
Knowledge is power, but enthusiasm pulls the switch.
